Mercy

Mercy is from Colombia. When she was 19, her church helped her to attend a YWAM (Youth with a Mission) Discipleship Training School near Little Rock Arkansas. There she was discipled, learned English, and with the support of an Arkansas church, was able to make one trip to the Arab world. When she finished the program, YWAM invited her back to be a staff trainer, which she worked as for four years in Arkansas. Feeling called to serve overseas, her church in Arkansas offered to support her, but believing this would not be honoring to her home church in Colombia she returned home and asked her church there to send her out. As she had been away nearly five years, the church asked her to serve on staff for two years first. That was five years ago. Due to insufficient funding, she has not been able to go. But the church did pay for her ticket to attend the EVI training in Peru.
