EVI Businesses

Currently Empresas Vida International is operating one business in a country we call Sandyland. This business employs a team of 10 expatriates. Each team member has:

  • Learned the national language
  • Missiological training
  • Legal work visa
  • Lived among the local people
  • Clear BAM (business as mission) objectives
  • Endorsement of a sending body
  • Regular accountability to an experienced supervisor
  • Received training in:
    • The Bible
    • Local culture
    • Business practices and work ethics
    • Ways of expressing God’s love within the local community

Eight of the team members are fully salaried by the business, while the other two receive about 15% of their salary through the business. A small group of locals now meets with the team to study God's Word together.

Currently we are starting businesses in needy areas of Central Asia and North Africa. We have plans to start up several new businesses in 2009.

EVI is considering starting other businesses around the globe. Some ideas we are currently considering are:

  • Small businesses
  • Construction firm
  • IT business
  • Restaurants
  • Sports teams
  • Schools
  • Travel businesses
